Create a Mobile Promotion that your Customers Love
|
Here's How
1. The Offer:
Something of value within a specified time period. Redeemable by viewing. In other words, all a recipient has to do was walk into the area and show the cashier the actual text message on his or her cell phone.
Example:
SKI for $10
Buy 1 Get 1 FREE Evening lift ticket Feb 12th-16th, 2007
2. The Promotion.
a) SMS Code Sample Choices: (Would Need to Pick One. Limited to 9 characters.)
Bumps, Carve, Deal, Mtn, Relax, Skiing, Slopes, Tips, Views, etc
b) Website banner, On-Site Signage, & Posters.
Signage could read
- "Use your phone to Save 50% or more on tickets, text ‘______' to 95495"
- "Text "_____" to 95495 to Ski for $10"
- "For great deals, text '________' to 95495"
Question: Why not be more explicit about the offer?
Answer: The goal is to measure engagement via the text medium, not the specific offer itself. Also, a specific offer allows customization of a mini campaign.
3. The Response.
Everyone who responds would receive the promotional offer by reply text within 10-15 seconds.
